Born in the City of Timmins (South Porcupine specifically), Pam started learning about the bush and mining at the tender age of 7.  Literally following the footsteps of her grandfather (the head geological engineer of the Hollinger mine in Timmins), she learned the compass, wild plants and animals, bush survival and a love of the outdoors.  She went on to get her prospectors license and worked with another prospector who eventually became her husband.  Her love of the bush and the mining industry has crept into her paintings.  She has started a Historical Mining Series of paintings.  Ranging from miniatures to large paintings, she hopes to capture the everyday work of the hard working pioneers;  prospectors, diamond drillers, geologists and geological engineers.
